Halloween has come and gone!

I have been taking a lot of pictures lately and I am really enjoying it. I had the joy of going with Mark, Jess, Jacks and my mom to Priddy Farms to take a few pictures of Jacks exploring around the pumpkin farm. He is so precious and has a birthday coming up on November 24! Can not believe it has already been a year. Here are a few more from the pumpkin patch.

We had our first annual halloween hayride and bonfire at my parents house and we had a great time.

This was Jacks first halloween! He had a great time collecting candy for mom and dad!! LOL
Here is my dad on the 4-wheeler that pulled the decorated trailer full of lights and hay with all the kids from house to house.
Also in the month of October I celebrated my 30th Birthday with a surprise party from my family. It was a great way to bring in my thirties. Wow never thought I would be saying that. Lee and I are still hoping this year God will bless us with a miracle so we can finally start our little family we have longed for several years for. Until then we are enjoying everyday we get to spend with our nephew Jacks.
Lee and I also celebrated our 4 year Anniversary this month. Has it been 4 years already??!! We are so thankful for our family and friends who we were able to celebrate with and we are looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas both.

This is my favorite time of the year. Now if I could only get Lee to allow me to start the Christmas music!! LOL ~

Lee you made me laugh when you were out doing donuts in the snow!!!

Thank you Lee for turning this day into one of the best days ever!!

Baseball

We have had the most excited spring in the "Winter-Holliman" household. First Lee and I are proud new aunt and uncle of a baby boy Colin Ross Winter born April 16, 2010 at 11:16 pm. We have been so busy I have not been able to update this in a long time. We are so happy Colin is healthy and his mom and dad are doing well with everything. They are trying to get sleep whenever they can and we are going over there as much as we can to hold Colin and help out with him so they can get some sleep also.
Yesterday was Lee's last test for school and he passed!!! Lee has finished his third year of school!!! YAY!!! we are so excited!! Only two more years to go until he will be an electrician!!!
Another exciting event happened last night. Mom and I drove from Memphis to Hannibal to see Matthew play his Conference Championship Game. And I must add they WON 6-5!!!!!!! We were so happy for him. He has been doing awesome lately!! Leading up to the game he has had several games where he has hit 1 or more home runs in a 7 inning game and if it is not home run it is a double or triple!! He is doing so well he had a Pro-Scout from the Washington Nationals come see him hit in the batting cages before a game last week!! He has never someone do this before and we truly believe this is his year!! After the game last night they handed out awards for all conference team which he made, Newcomer player of the year which he won, and Player of the year which he won also!!!!! Three awards and the best three to be exact!! This doesn't happen everyday. This doesn't happen every other day. This is one accomplishment he can say he is very proud of and I can say he is very deserving of!!
Myles is playing now and they are tied 1-1 against Collierville and if they win they go to regionals and if they lose they have to play Houston tomorrow at 4 and win to go to regionals. Lets hope they win!!
Mark is playing in Canada for the summer league. We are going to drive to Chicago and see him when he is playing there. But for now we are just listening to his games online. This is the only way to listen to the games. He can not text us from Canada but we can text him all we want. Matthew has been picking on him laughing and texting him silly things since he cant text back!!
This about sums up our spring. Sorry I couldn't get you updated sooner!! We are all doing well and hope to update you soon on everything else!!!!
OH MYLES JUST LOST!! BOO HOO!! There is still another game tomorrow. They have to win the game at 4 and they make it to Regionals!!! COME ON GERMANTOWN RED DEVILS!!! WIN WIN WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lee's 30th Birthday

Well we celebrated Lee's 30th birthday party tonight and we are winding down and I thought I would let everybody know we had a really great time. I surprised Lee on Wednesday by taking him to dinner at the Butcher Shop and having all his family there. It was really something special. He was so surprised. Then tonight I surprised hm once more by having all his friends over and we celebrated his 30th one more time. I will post pictures as soon as I get them on the computer. I had Lee's brother take him for the day while I decorated and cleaned. Lee had no idea what was going on. When he got here everyone was here waiting to surprise him.
A little bit about the birthday party... It was a sports themed party everything from the invitations to the decorations to the guest shirts. First the invitations were in the shape of tickets (i.e. like football tickets) it said "Winter Stadium" (our house), seat o1 (January), row 23(day), and section 2010 (year). For "admission" guest were subject to wear appropriate sports attire of their favorite team. It was a blast. Most everyone wore Memphis shirts but Rena... she wore TENNESSEE from head to toe and she even brought some stand up rocky top extras. LOL. We decorated in all GATOR things and football decorations galore. Thank you to all who helped pull off this wonderful night.

A New Year

We are so excited to begin a new year in our home. We have many plans for this year including starting a family and starting and finishing an addition on the back of our home. We are looking forward to start a new year as healthy as we ever have before. Another one of our plans includes keeping the house clean on a daily basis. This one we are going to have to work on. With both Lee and I working 40 hours plus the cleaning usually gets pushed back until the weekend and then we spend all weekend cleaning and doing laundry instead of relaxing and spending time doing things we want to do. We end up having to clean with no option. So far we have done a really good job. I need to take pictures every so often so I make sure the house is clean. We just got the carport clean and backyard all cleaned and organized so this was a huge step in keeping the house clean and organized. I am not bad at cleaning but it is the organization that bothers me. I can not stand to be organized and right now I am not organized enough in everyone. Certain rooms are okay like the kitchen, living room, and one bedroom. On the other hand the other bedroom is the catch all and has turned into a mess. This is my next goal, to organized the back bedroom.
Heather I know you are going to be so happy to see this blog. You have been trying to get me to do this for a long time now so here it goes. We miss you so much!!! I can not wait to come see you again in May!! Oh by the way it will just be Lee and I not little ones (Koda and Lexy) Not because we do not want them to be with us. We just want a vacation!! If you know what I mean!!! We are going to miss them so much. Look at me already missing them and we are haven't left yet. It will be here before we know it.
Lee and I had a wonderful 2009 as we were able to go on a couple of vacations throughout the year. One just recently to New Orleans with Myles and his girlfriend to see the Florida Gators beat the Cincinnati Bearcats in what was Tim Tebow's last game as a Florida Gator. We had a blast spending time together away from everyday life. Thank you to Heather and George for allowing us to stay at your house and save a little bit of money.
We are hoping to start a family soon. We are just praying everyday that this will be the month we get to tell everyone but it just has not happened yet. We know it is coming we just do not know when. That is the hard part for sure. Lee's brother and sister in law are having a little boy and they are due very soon and we couldn't be happier for them. Our day will come soon!!
Mom and Dad are doing great. Dad gets to start his last year of broadcasting at germantown high school baseball games soon. He is looking forward to that. Mom is trying to understand that her baby is a senior and she is about to have an empty house. That's why she keeps wanting us to get pregnant so she has something to keep her busy. LOL I talked to Matthew today and he is about to start his 6 am runs and workouts with his baseball team before school. They do this to get ready for baseball that is about to start. We went from football now to baseball and this season is going to fly by so quick. It is Myles' senior year and Matthew's senior year. It is going to go by so fast. Mark and Jessica are doing great. They are changing things at home all the time. They are so funny. They recently sold their couch and bought a new one with 2 chairs to go with it. Now they are wanting to add draps to the windows. Jess called today wanting know if it is cheaper to buy the material and then hem them or just to buy them from the store. I told her if she gets it on sale I would bring my sewing machine over there and show her how to sew. This should be fun!!!
I can not wait to build the addition onto the back of the house so I have an extra room for sewing and crafts. Lee said we need a bigger house. I agreed. LOL. We have to build the addition before we can sell it though. We may want to stay a little longer once we do the addition. Which is fine with me. I do not want to have to move right after we build it. I would like to enjoy it for a little while at least.
We hope everyone who reads this it finds you in great spirits and we hope you will set new goals this year to follow and for everyone we wish a happy new year and a healthy and safe 2010.
